Researchers at the University of Michigan conducted a meta-analysis of 23 studies on happiness and physical activity to understand which aspects of physical activity were associated with happiness and which populations were likely to benefit from the effects.

The results of the study showed whether people who were not active enough were still more likely (+ 20%) to be happy than those who did not exercise at all. This figure increased to reach + 29% in sufficiently active participants and peaked at + 52% in very active volunteers.
