Doctors treated a man whose penis had been fractured from top to bottom by his wife during sex. Never seen.

Sensitive souls refrain ! The British Medical Journal Case Reports reported the unprecedented case of a 40-year-old man who fractured his penis from top to bottom. Until now, penile fractures had only been seen from left to right or from right to left.
Six months clean
The unfortunate man presented himself to the emergency room complaining that his penis had “wedged against the perineum of his partner” during sexual intercourse, without feeling the snap normally caused by a fracture of the penis. After an MRI, doctors found that the patient’s tunica albuginea, the rubbery sheath that holds the spongy tissue of the penis together, had not split horizontally but vertically. Never seen !
Surgeons quickly operated on the patient. After six months of abstinence, the latter was able to have sexual intercourse again with the same quality of erection as before his injury, and the appearance of his penis, which looked like an eggplant, became completely normal again. .
Watch out for doggy style
88.5% of penile fractures occur during sexual intercourse, especially in the “doggy style” position. The relatively rare frequency of this type of injury increases in men aged 40 and over. According to Santé Publique France, the annual proportion of risk of suffering such a mishap is 1 in 175,000.
A broken penis is manifested by a “popping” sensation during intercourse. Following the trauma, the penis swells and appears broken in two. If these symptoms appear, you must go to the emergency room as soon as possible. Indeed, a patient who is not operated on within 24 hours may suffer from irreversible sequelae (erection problems, aesthetic disfigurement of the sex).
