Hops exist in the form of infusions, powders, food supplements and essential oils. For the consume as an infusion : Infuse 0.5 g to 1 g of dried strobiles in 250 ml of boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes. Drink this infusion up to 3 times a day, as needed.
As for the tincture, an intake of 2 ml, 1 to 3 times a day is sufficient to relieve you. Hops are also found in some dietary supplement formulas.
Contraindications and adverse effects
Adverse effects are rare and linked to long-term use: jaundice, erectile dysfunction, dizziness, intellectual fatigue, etc.
Due to the sedative action of hops, it is advised to remain vigilant if you hit the road after consuming hops. Moreover, this perennial plant can stimulate hormonal activity in women. Its consumption is therefore contraindicated in women with breast cancer or with a family history.
