
October 19, 2012 – For several years, the medical profession has noticed an increase in the use of unconventional medicines, also called Natural Healing. The most common being acupuncture, homeopathy or even osteopathy. These practices, for the great majority, do not have the ambition to replace the so-called conventional medicines but to supplement them with a more particular attention to the well-being and to “better living”. Despite reluctance, the border between conventional and unconventional medicine is increasingly porous.
In France, mentalities are struggling to change, these practices are not recognized by the scientific and medical world. But it is clear that the public authorities are increasingly interested in the subject. Several proposals are under study:
