From 2021 it will no longer be useful to look for your Vitale card in your wallet. This will be dematerialized and replaced by an app on his smartphone. The Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn presented the dematerialized version of the vital card on Thursday April 25 as part of the digital health roadmap.
The “apCV”, a secure application, will allow “the digital authentication of users of the health system”, specifies the Ministry of Health. The digital vital card should facilitate the rights of users with in particular the automatic update of rights as insured without having to go through a pharmacy terminal. It will also be possible to access various services such as ameli.fr. Eventually shared medical record could be searchable through this App.
Simplification of procedures
An experimentation decree must be published this summer to launch the first test in the third quarter of this year. The hardware card, which gives access in particular to third-party payment, will remain valid until 2021, date of the generalization of the smartphone version to the entire territory.
This measure is part of the simplification of online procedures in the field of health. Since November 2018, the shared and digital medical record has been put in place. This device is intended to replace the health book classic patient. You can find the history of care, pathologies, medications taken in particular, on a single platform.
As for the Carte Vitale, its renewalhas been online since 2017.
