New developments
The article about the new normal in healthcare in Plus Magazine of December has unfortunately been overtaken by current events. Due to the new corona wave, care appointments and operations are being postponed again. A brief explanation of this article.
The monthly magazine Plus Magazine is always in the early stages. The editors often start thinking about the new issue months before publication. For example, a few months ago, catch-up care was an important topic. Many Plus readers had to deal with delayed treatments. An analysis in June already showed that many people were disadvantaged by all this delay in care. That is why we have planned an interview with hospital administrator Bart Berden in the December issue. The interview took place at a time when every effort was being made to make up for delayed treatments.
Postpone again
It is now December. What we could not imagine then has happened: operations are once again postponed due to a corona outbreak. Sometimes even for the second or third time. The article has been overtaken by current events, but can be found on pages 74 to 77 of Plus Magazine December. Still, I would definitely read the article. Sooner or later, the surgeries and treatments have to be rescheduled. And with this article you know (already) what that means – for you and for healthcare.
