The moment when the new Samsung Galaxy S series appears is getting closer and closer.
According to a spokesperson for Samsung, the S22, the S22 Plus and the S22 Ultra presented on February 9 and the devices will be in stores from 24 February. What do the new Samsung Galaxy S22 smartphones have in store for us?
Smaller display for easy operation, even with one hand
Samsung equips the new Samsung Galaxy S phones probably with a 6.1-inch display for the entry-level model, a 6.5-inch display for the S22 Plus and a 6.8-inch display for the S22 Ultra. The screens are smaller than those of their predecessors, but this has the advantage that the phones are also easier to operate with one hand.
The displays of the S22 and S22 Plus have a high-quality AMOLED display. The S22 Ultra is equipped with a QHD+ screen, so your screen is extra bright. All displays get a refresh rate of 120Hz for smooth scrolling.
Four cameras on the device
About the cameras it is known that the S22 and the S22 Plus on the back will have a primary camera of 50 megapixels, an ultra-wide-angle lens of 12 megapixels, a telephoto camera of 10 megapixels, with which you can zoom in up to three times without loss of quality. The smartphone also has a 10-megapixel selfie camera.
The S22 Ultra gets an even better primary camera of 108 megapixels. Like the two less extensive models, the Ultra also has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone gets two 10 megapixel telephoto cameras, with one you can zoom in three times and with the other 10 times. The selfie camera is greatly improved with 40 megapixels compared to the predecessor.
Dual Pixel Pro technology and Samsung ISOCELL image sensor
Samsung would use its own Dual Pixel Pro technology, the already known Samsung ISOCELL GN1 or ISOCELL GN2 image sensor and the new ISOCELL GN5 image sensor. With these image sensors you can take sharp photos of high quality. You can also make videos in Full HD, 4K and 8K, which seem to come straight out of the cinema.
The price of the new S22 models
The Samsung Galaxy S22 price does not differ much from that of its predecessors. The S21 cost at the introduction € 849, -, the S21 Plus € 1,049, – and the S21 Ultra € 1,249. Reportedly, the devices from the S22 series get the same price.
