The speed camera confused the letters on the sweater with a license plate
The fashion police will probably have an opinion about the sweater below, but in this case it is the real police who write out a fine. One David Knight just got a fine at home for his Volkswagen Transporter. He is said to have driven on a bus lane 200 kilometers away in a town and was fined about 100 euros. The problem was, he wasn’t there at all that day.
The photo accompanying the fine made it immediately clear what was going on. On that day a lady with a printed sweater walked down the bus lane. On her sweater is the word ‘knitter’, which means something like ‘knitter’. The speed camera confused the letters with a license plate and sent the fine to David Knight, who has ‘KN19TER’ as the license plate on his van.
The photo was sent automatically and thus no one had looked at the photo. After contact with the appropriate authorities, the fine was immediately declared invalid. It is not known whether the lady with the sweater can keep her knitting certificate.
