“Supporting smokers who want stop smoking is an imperative, they are victims of tobacco. My commitment to the fight against tobacco is complete and will not weaken.” underlined the Minister of Health Agnès Buzyn announcing that two nicotine replacement treatments are now reimbursable by Health Insurance. After chewing gum, which had been reimbursed since March 22, “patches” have in turn been reimbursed since today.
“This coverage allows all patients access to these substitution treatments, including the most modest. It makes it possible, in fact, to eliminate the systematic advance of costs and to have the same price for the same product. throughout the territory, while allowing an appropriate processing time addiction“ insisted the Minister of Health.
This measure of the Priority Prevention Plan supports package price increase of cigarettes which occurred on March 1st.
