MS, what is it?
It affects around 80,000 people in France. It is the leading cause of acquired neurological disability in young adults. This disease is caused by an inflammation which will destroy the myelin sheath (protective sheath allowing the rapid transmission of the impulse
nerves), leading to the blocking of information sent by the brain to the rest of the body and leading to a more or less severe disability: vision disorders, balance disorders, paralysis of the limbs… MS is an unpredictable disease whose symptoms are very diverse.
