Deprived of diesel since early 2021, the Kadjar returned to its Blue dCi 115 in July. Adapted to the Euro 6 D-Full standard, it only exists with the EDC double clutch gearbox. Although it was replaced in the summer of 2022, the diamond compact SUV once again revised its prices in October.
A little (re) turn and then go … In July 2021, diesel returns under the hood of the Kadjar. As had been announced as soon as it was withdrawn from the catalog at the start of the year, its disappearance was in fact only temporary. Renault simply had to adapt the four-cylinder 1.5 Blue dCi 115 to the Euro 6 D-Full emission standard, in force since January. By the way, the Losange has put away the manual gearbox. In October, the manufacturer proceeded to a further revaluation of the tariffs of 400 €.

No diesel on the future Kadjar 2
But we also know that this return will only be fleeting. The next generation of the compact SUV, which will be unveiled in spring 2022, will completely ignore diesel. It will thus follow the example of the Nissan Qashqai 3, built on the same CMF-C basis, by now favoring gasoline and various hybrid versions. If for you Kadjar can only be designed in diesel, it is better to order quickly enough. TO fortiori if you have fallen for the Cosmos blue color, a little darker than the Iron blue that appeared during the restyling, because this shade has disappeared.
Small changes in September
Finally, some small design changes are planned for September … even if they are too small for us to really speak of a facelift. On the Limited series, the front shoe simply changes from Adamantium gray to grained black, thus aligning itself with the Zen or Business variants. On Intens, the aerator surrounds will lose their “textured carbon” look to turn gray, and the top of the range Black Edition abandons flocking in the glove box. Not enough to upset the end of the career of this SUV which has never really succeeded in worrying the current Peugeot 3008. To finally achieve this, Renault is now betting everything on its imminent successor.
