Porsche has been offering an insurance service for its customers of new and used vehicles for the past ten years. The brand announces that the service is now extended to classic cars in the Porsche Classic division and more broadly to models over 15 years old.
Porsche has already been offering insurance services for its customers of new or used vehicles purchased through the network for more than fifteen years. Customers of exceptional vehicles even have a dedicated additional program called Exclusive. But, as Porsche specifies in a press release, more than 70% of all Porsche vehicles built are still in circulation. To preserve this rolling heritage, the German manufacturer is extending its insurance service to collector models.
Insurance dedicated to vintage Porsches
Through the Porsche Assurance Classic program, owners of vintage Porsches will be entitled to benefits such as exclusive rates or dedicated services. Among them, comprehensive coverage, assistance with specialized legal protection or even decreasing rates for multi-owners. Other services are also included, such as the agreed value when the contract is taken out, the possibility of validating the value of your vehicle free of charge online up to 100,000 euros thanks to remote estimation or even the guarantee on the circuit and during regularity outings.

Some conditions to respect
The partnership between Porsche France and the insurer Hiscox France, a specialist in the coverage of works of art and collector’s vehicles, offers peace of mind to owners of historic collector models in the broad sense. Indeed, the service is extended to all models over 15 years old, i.e. those delivered before 2006. Thus, the brand specifies that the Porsche 911 type 997, launched in 2004, enters into this case.
Be careful, however, some conditions to respect:
- the vehicle is usually parked in a closed and covered garage,
- its use is strictly private and to the exclusion of current journeys,
- the annual mileage is less than 10,000 km / year,
- the driver is between 30 and 75 years old, with a valid license for at least five years,
- the bonus / penalty coefficient must be less than or equal to 0.80
- the driver must not have been the subject of a license withdrawal or suspension over the past five years, or a criminal conviction …
The conditions are to be found directly on the Porsche Assurance website with the different formulas offered and the possibility of making a quote online or by phone with an advisor.
