The researchers followed 117,200 women for 36 years, all nurses at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston (United States).
Analysis of their medical data showed that the use of permanent hair dyes increased (at least slightly) the risk of developing basal cell carcinoma in women with light hair, Hodgkin lymphoma in women with dark hair, a breast cancer or ovarian cancer. How about using natural hair colors instead – like henna?
