The Collectif interassociatif sur la Santé (CISS) is launching the Droitdesmalades.fr website to inform the general public about the exercise of their rights as users of the healthcare system. Accessible from March 8, this web platform will provide individualized answers to users on all social and legal questions related to health.
The website will offer a “forum” space in which Internet users can testify to their experiences in terms of patients’ rights. The general public will also find all the information relating to their rights as patients.
To accompany this platform, the CISS offers the practical guide Users of the health system: know & assert your rights!. Developed by many health professionals, this book features individuals involved in different medical situations. In total, six scenarios address issues relating to patients’ rights. The guide is available on request from the CISS (contact: documentation@leciss.org).
Some 41% of French people feel ill-informed about the cost of medical care, according to the latest patient rights barometer published by the CISS on Tuesday 2 March.
