You have to see it in context. Because the OPPO Find N is still a smartphone in the higher segment.
After a teaser, the time has finally come this week. OPPO has launched the Find N. The first foldable smartphone of the moment. And also the most affordable foldable smartphone if you look at the competition! But more on that later.
Four years of research and six generations of prototypes. That says OPPO needed to eventually come up with the Find N. The smartphone has a 7.1-inch inner display and a 5.49-inch outer display. With an aspect ratio of 8.4:9, the inner display folds out directly into landscape mode. Exactly what we already know from the folding smartphone principle. When unfolded, you look at an aspect ratio of 18:9.
OPPO Find N specifications
The smartphone of the Chinese tech company has three cameras. This setup consists of a 50MP Sony IMX 766 main sensor, a 16MP ultra-wide angle lens and a 13MP telephoto lens. In addition, there are selfie cameras on both the indoor and outdoor displays.
Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. The device is powerful with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. You also have a 4,500mAh battery. Charging is smooth with SUPERVOOC Flash Charge of 33W. This means that the battery is already 55 percent charged in half an hour. You can charge wirelessly with 15W AIRVOOC (compatible with standard Qi) and 10W reverse wireless charging. On the side, near the on/off button, is the fingerprint scanner.
And then those prices. The OPPO Find N can be ordered immediately and will be available in China from December 23, 2021. It is not yet known whether the foldable smartphone will also come to the Netherlands. The 8GB+256GB combi costs ¥7699, converted about €1.073 (indication price) and the 12GB+512GB costs ¥8999, which is about €1,255. This makes the OPPO cheaper than, for example, Samsung with the Galaxy Fold 2 and Huawei with the Mate XS.
