The Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus will announce a brand new smartphone within the affordable Nord series on February 17.
The Nord series from OnePlus is a series of smartphones for which you do not pay the top price. Usually the prices are between 300 and 500 euros. The phones sometimes bring high-end features to the middle segment of the market.
New OnePlus Nord coming soon
The upcoming smartphone is called the OnePlus Nord CE 2. That abbreviation stands for Core Edition and is similar to what Samsung does with smartphones that bear the title FE (Fan Edition). The manufacturers try to offer many options for a competitive price with such phones.
You will soon be charging the OnePlus Nord CE 2 at a speed of 65 watts. There is also a headphone jack and support for micro-SD cards of up to 1 TB.
In addition, there have been some rumors about the device. Reportedly, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 will have three cameras on the back. Under the hood is a Mediatek MT6877 Dimensity 900 5G processor. Like Qualcomm, Mediatek is a chip manufacturer. You mainly come across the chips in cheaper smartphones at the moment.
Furthermore, it looks like this OnePlus will be a re-released and slightly modified version of the Oppo Reno 7 SE 5G. That would not be surprising, since Oppo and OnePlus recently merged into one smartphone branch under parent company BBK Electronica. That company also owns brands such as Vivo and Realme.
