Heading or not heading? To appeal to the generosity of the French, the Fondation de France, an independent organization for philanthropic projects, is launching an original campaign which should stimulate the most intrepid and inflate courage the fiercest. The idea is based on creating a challenge associated with a philanthropic objective and inviting those around them to take it up. Whoever launches this bet bets on a starting pot, the “Cap’cagnotte” by counting on an amount to be collected (50, 100, 200 euros or more). The amount collected will then be donated to the solidarity cause, whatever it may be, from scientific research to the fight against poverty, for example.
An example ? You want to encourage your best friend to get back into the sport (the challenge), a resolution they keep putting off. You can transform it into a solidarity mission with the objective of “changing the condition of the elderly“. You challenge your friend by creating a page on the Foundation’s website by adding an amount to collect to consider that this challenge has been reached. Once the Cap’cagnotte has been created, you just have to convince your best friend: it’s time to collect it. ‘step 1. Then you motivate other relatives to take up the same bet, namely to get back to sport while paying a small sum for the benefit of the elderly.
An unlimited number of challenges serving many causes
There are plenty of challenges and good opportunities to shake up the pros of procrastination(the art of procrastinating) to make their promises a reality while making a gesture of solidarity. There is no shortage of commitments that are constantly postponed and a source of challenges. As long as you show your imagination, you can associate an unlimited number of solidarity causes with your bet: stop smoking for a month (and support medical research); unplug from your laptop in the evening (and fight against dropping out of school); to take cooking classes or eating organic (and preserve the environment), afford a baby sitter (and offer a holiday to sick children) …
