To do this, users are first invited to perform a 12-question test, developed at the request of the World Health Organization (WHO), intended to take stock of their alcohol consumption. The “alcoholometer” then offers a three-step program to all individuals whose consumption involves a risk to their health. This program makes it possible to assess Internet users’ fears, analyze their consumption habits and set reduction targets. According to Inpes, this online service will be available as an iPhone application in “a few weeks”. The Alcoolinfoservice.fr site also offers a quiz, animations and downloadable sheets intended to inform the public about the dangers of alcohol.
