Microsoft brings Xbox games to your Samsung Smart TV

Play Xbox games without a console on your Samsung Smart TV. Microsoft makes it possible from now on.

From the end of this month you will no longer necessarily need an Xbox console to play on your flat screen. After already bringing the Xbox Game Pass to the Samsung Galaxy phones, it is now the turn of the big screen at home.

Microsoft is working intensively with Samsung for this and from June 30 it will be possible to play games on your latest Samsung Smart TV purchased in 2022 via the Xbox app that can be downloaded in the Samsung Gaming Hub. The idea is that you start the app on your television, connect your favorite controller and start gaming.

It is of course not free. To access hundreds of cloud-enabled games you have to Xbox Game Pass be an ultimate member. That will cost you 12.99 euros per month, but you will no longer have to purchase a console from the end of this month.

Microsoft does not say anything about whether and when this option will also be available for other Smart TVs. It is expected that this will happen.
