The Mercedes EQB seven-seater electric SUV will arrive in concession in the first quarter of 2022. At launch, the range will be limited to a single engine and two finishes, both invoiced at a price of € 64,150.
The Mercedes EQB, the 100% electric variant of the GLB, was presented at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2021. But it will not arrive in concession in France until the first quarter of 2022. This seven-seater watted leisure vehicle reveals its prices. Or rather its price. Because the range is for the moment reduced to its simplest expression. Count on a single engine, called EQB 350 4Matic, strong 215 kW (or about 292 hp) and 520 Nm distributed on four wheels, and two finishes called Progressive and AMG Line. The latter offers 18-inch alloy wheels, a specific body kit, as well as a rear side window and a dark-tinted rear window as standard, at no additional cost.

A simplified range
For this new version, driving aids include monitoring blind spots, lane keeping assistance and active emergency braking. The dashboard benefits from digital instrumentation on two 10.25-inch screens each with the MBUX multimedia system, the “Hey Mercedes” voice assistant, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, a steering wheel whose rim is stretched with nappa leather, but also a mixed upholstery in imitation leather and microfiber. Note that the third row of seats is standard, a seven-seat configuration which positions the Mercedes EQB beyond the reach of the competition, while in the second row we find a 40/20/40 bench.

Mercedes EQB: a range of 423 km
The Mercedes EQB has a battery with a capacity of 66.5 kWh, with the combined WLTP range being homologated at 423 km. The vehicle is delivered with a charging cable to connect to the 22 kW public terminals. The list price of the Mercedes EQB is 64 150 €, but do not expect to benefit from the ecological bonus. The latter does not apply to vehicles invoiced for more than € 60,000. A more accessible variant is expected in the spring, it will be the Mercedes EQB 300 4Matic delivering a power of 168 kW, or the equivalent of 228 hp, for a torque value of 390 Nm.
