Mazda plans to withdraw the CX-3 from its European catalog at the end of 2021. The small SUV would not be replaced. On the other hand, two new, much larger models will come to cap the manufacturer’s CX range on the Old Continent between 2022 and 2023.
Mazda recently announced an SUV offensive for the coming two years with the launch of the all-new CX-50, CX-60, CX-70, CX-80 and CX-90. However, only the CX-60 and CX-70 are intended for Europe. The Japanese manufacturer was careful to specify that the CX-30 and CX-5 would continue to be part of its SUV range, but not a word on the CX-3. The end of its production to Europe is scheduled for the end of this year.
Last orders in progress
The small SUV CX-3, competitor of Renault Captur and other Volkswagen T-Roc, was launched in 2015 in Europe and follows a much more discreet career than the latter in our regions, yet particularly fond of urban crossovers. Mazda would have decided not to renew it. Szymon Soltysik, the brand’s public relations manager in Poland, reportedly told reporters atAuto Katalog : ” We’re taking the final orders for the CX-3. The CX-3 range already restricted in France
The CX-3 is currently offered in France from € 22,900. Its engine offer is limited with us to the 121 hp SkyActiv-G 2.0 L four-cylinder petrol engine. with manual or automatic transmission and front-wheel drive. Until 2020, it was also offered with a petrol unit of 150 hp, a diesel of 105 hp then 115 hp, and all-wheel drive. Once the CX-3 is withdrawn from the catalog, it is the more imposing CX-30 (4.40 m long against 4.28 m) and more expensive which will ensure the entry of the Mazda SUV range at € 26,900 minimum. , with the MX-30 of the same length as an electric alternative displayed at € 34,650 excluding ecological bonus.
