Lactel brand growth milk (Lactalis group) has been recalled for risk of mold on the outside of the bottle. The mold could be at the level of the neck, underlines a AFP dispatch taken over by LCI.
This is not the first time that dairy products have been recalled because they are risky to health. Prémilait powdered milk from the Prémibio brand was withdrawn from sale in October 2017 following a test which revealed the presence of Enterobacter Sakazakii type bacteria. In the same vein, in April 2018, 38 cases of salmonellosis, caused by Lactalis milk had been declared.
Baby milk and mold
This time, it’s bottled baby milk from the Lactel brand. The reference concerned is “Natural growth awakening by Lactel small format 250ml”. The date of minimum durability of the products are: 11/09/2019, 26/09/2019 and 14/10/2019. These are individual bottles or packs of 12 bottles. The presence of mold can make the “product unfit for consumption“.
The Directorate General for Competition, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control (DGCCRF) has published a notice in which it states: “People holding these products are asked not to consume them and to contact the toll-free number set up by the company in order to obtain the terms of return of the product.“
