
I drink about six glasses of soda every day. Usually this is soda with carbonated, or juice/drink without carbonated. I’ve heard this is unhealthy. But is that true?

It is indeed true that soda and juice are not good for your health. That’s because these drinks often contain a lot of sugar and therefore also a lot of calories. A glass of soft drink contains about 6.5 sugar cubes and provides about 100 kilocalories. Drinking a lot of soft drinks increases the risk of obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The diet soft drinks provide almost no calories. These drinks do contain acids that affect the teeth. Water, coffee and tea without sugar are good choices. They make a positive contribution to your health and contain no calories. That is why these drinks are also in the Wheel of Five.
