I haven’t had hot flashes for a few years, but now it seems they are back. According to one doctor it is possible, the other says it is not.

Hot flashes or sweats occur in both men and women and at all ages. Around the last menstrual period (the menopause) about half of all women have them and that gradually decreases after that. From about eight years after the last menstrual period, 14 percent of women still regularly suffer from it.
Some blood pressure drugs, antidepressants, alcohol consumption and thyroid problems can cause sweating, but often no cause can be found. Since you haven’t had hot flashes in several years, I suspect they are not related to menopause.
