What are the concerns of the French in terms of health? To find out, an online pharmacy, Newpharma, analyzed research done on the internet on the 12,000 drugs and remedies listed by the National Agency for Drug Safety (ANSM).
In this top 100, note The echoes, topped Amoxicillin (84,480 searches per month), an antibiotic used to fight bacterial infections, an analgesic, Tramadol (84,020), and Levothyrox (67,460). The controversy related to this last drug probably explains the importance of research on the net.
But these results also testify to a “significant level of anxiety in France”, underlines Mike Vandenhooft, CEO of Newpharma.
Indeed, the French seem to suffer mainly from the head and the digestive system. Stress, sleep, depression, heartburn, diarrhea concentrate most of the research.
“Drugs related to the family of psychotropics (anxiolytics, sleeping pills) occupy the first place of the podium of the types of treatment consulted with more than a quarter of the research alone”, underlines the daily.
For their part, antibiotics that calm stomach pain represent 16% of consultations on the web. Finally, this Top 100 confirms that pain is no longer inevitable. Analgesics, such as Ibuprofen, climb to 4e place in the ranking.
