A story worthy of a film script. Brian Rodolph must pay a deposit of 500,000 dollars for robbing a bank in South Lyon, a city in Michigan, United States. On August 12, he entered the banking establishment wearing dark glasses and wearing a baseball cap. He robbed an employee and demanded $ 20,000. He finally walked away with more than $ 8,000 in his pocket.
The story could have passed for a simple news item if the motivation of the robber indicated to the police officers had not moved the media and, a fortiori, American opinion. The 23-year-old justified his act by wanting to pay for the medical expenses of his cancer-sick daughter. One-year-old Brialynn suffers from retinoblastoma, a fairly rare retinal cancer that mainly affects infants and young children.
A few days before the robbery, her father received a letter informing him that the insurance contract had ended and that he was therefore no longer covering the cost of treating the girl.
Desperate, Brian Rodolph has therefore committed a radical act to be able to continue to give her the chemotherapy that she needs once a month.
