GTA Trilogy has already been announced, now we know more including the date when you can start playing the game.
Last week was the game’s birthday. Twenty years ago the first version of the game came out. While creator Rockstar Games didn’t mark the occasion with a sudden surprise release of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, it revealed when you can get your hands on the enhanced versions of GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas.
Date GTA Trilogy
The remastered Grand Theft Auto trilogy will be released on November 11. And that’s pretty fast. Just a good two weeks to wait and it’s there. The bundle costs $60 in the US and includes notable visual and gameplay upgrades. In the Netherlands, those dollars will probably become euros, so count on the same amount only in euros.
The game will arrive digitally on November 11 (the former release date for the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions of GTA V) on PC, PlayStation 4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch. Physical editions will be available for consoles on December 7.
There are some platform specific improvements. PS5 and Xbox Series X players can play the games in 4K at up to 60 frames per second. On the PC, there is support for NVIDIA’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) scaling technology. Substitutes, meanwhile, have gyro controls and can use the touchscreen to navigate menus and zoom.
Cost
Rockstar therefore charges sixty euros for the trilogy, which may be quite a lot for some. Since the original versions were often available for a few dollars each, this is quite a hefty price.
The most obvious changes to the games are improved, richer visuals. rockstar has added higher-resolution textures, improved weather effects, improved character and vehicle models, overhauled the lighting system, and increased draw distances – all while trying to maintain the original aesthetic of each game. Vice City, for example, looks much more vibrant than the original, but it’s clearly still the same city.
