On the occasion of the world day of glaucoma on October 13, the French Glaucoma Society (SFG) and the French Glaucoma Association (AFG) organized free glaucoma screenings throughout France. October 6 and 7 in Paris and during the months of October and December in other cities in France.
A screening tour across France
Early detection is a priority in the fight against glaucoma. Indeed, this pathology which is characterized by a progressive deterioration of the optic nerve affects more than a million French people. If taken too late, this disease can lead to blindness. As a result, the French Glaucoma Society (SFG), the French Glaucoma Association (AFG) and the French Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired (Unadav) have set up the Set Your Sights campaign (* Have your eyesight checked) to encourage people to have their eyesight tested.
In Lille from October 18 to 20;
Rouen from October 25 to 27;
Caen from November 15 to 17;
Brest from November 22 to 24;
Nantes from December 5 to 8;
Bordeaux from December 12 to 16.
