April 19, 2010 – Groups and actors working with early childhood can now submit innovative projects to the organization Avenir d’enfants.
This was announced on April 16 by the President of the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation.1, Mr. Claude Chagnon, in the presence of the Minister of Families, Mr. Tony Tomassi, who kicked off the activities of the organization.
Avenir d’enfants will support and finance projects submitted by committed local communities, aimed at the overall development of children under 5 in poverty, in order to give them a good start in life.
Avenir d’enfants is the non-profit organization (NPO) that will administer the $ 400 million contribution, offered by the Government of Quebec and the Lucie and André Chagnon Foundation, over a period of 10 years.2.
