At the end of the Ansm inspection in the Teva factory, the mystery remains over the packaging error of the Furosemide. No breach was detected. The laboratory should file a complaint.
“No major breach”. At the end of two days of investigation in the Sens (Yonne) factory of Teva laboratories, the four inspectors from the Medicines Agency (Ansm) failed to unravel the mystery of the packaging error of the boxes of Furosemide diuretic which could be linked to three deaths and two hospitalizations. The Agency’s inspection on the spot, that is to say where the boxes came from, some of which contained Zopiclone sleeping tablets instead of the diuretic, did not yield anything.
“The four inspectors did not identify any defect either in the organization, in the practices, or in the equipment of the Sens packaging plant,” said the health agency noting that “the investigation is ongoing. is also continuing with the judicial authorities ”. And the Agency added, “the furosemide tablets come from Hungary and are packaged and boxed in this factory”, while the sleeping pill “zopiclone comes from Spain”.
On the side of the management of Teva, world No. 1 in generic drugs, no statement has come out, nor from the staff. However, according to information from Europe 1, the Teva laboratory is convinced that it is indeed a malicious act. He should file a complaint against X during the day.
