The restyled Ford Fiesta has a specific new face depending on the finishes. The interior is modernized with the addition, depending on the level of equipment, of digital meters. Under the hood, the powers are unchanged. The offer peaks at 200 hp with the ST version. Entrance ticket: € 16,990.
The seventh-generation Fiesta is finally getting a makeover. The Ford city car will have waited nearly five years before benefiting from this mid-career restyling. The alterations made are more aesthetic than technical.
A more visible logo in the grille

The shields are also different. Only the wings have not been modified. At the rear, the light blocks are slightly darker with a black outline.
More modern meters
On board, changes are much lighter. They focus on adoptinga 12.3-inch digital panel for instrumentation. A technology available as standard on the chic Vignale version, which complements the Titanium finish. The rest is unchanged: the touchscreen of the infotainment system is still 8 inches diagonally.
The Fiesta swears by gasoline… or E85
To move, the Fiesta uses mainly gasoline. Its range of engines starts at 75 hp and peaks at 200 hp in the ST version. But the manufacturer also offers an engine accepting E85 and developing 95 hp. Furthermore, the Fiesta has a micro-hybrid (mHEV) offering displaying 125 and 155 hp. In the transmission department, the five- or six-speed manual transmission is standard. To take advantage of the robotic dual-clutch and seven-speed offer, now called Powershift, you will have to dig into the options.

Matrix LEDs, like the big ones!
If the optics are now standard LED, it is nevertheless possible to choose Matrix LED technology. Among the equipment listed in the catalog are also the system indicating that the car is entering a prohibited direction, an adaptive cruise control with Stop & Go function and recognition of traffic signs.
Ford Fiesta Price (September 2021)
Prices for the restyled Ford Fiesta start at € 16,990, which is € 240 more than the previous version. The city car is already available to order, but deliveries are expected in the first quarter of 2022. If the 3 and 5 door versions are the same price, the first can only be combined with the ST-Line X (with 125 and 155 hp units) and ST finishes.

Conclusion: A welcome modernization
The restyled Fiesta modernizes its look and highlights the Ford logo more than ever. When the various versions (Active, ST-Line…) are put side by side, the differences are obvious. The Fiesta can assert its offer 3 and 5 doors, a rarity on the market, as well as a proposal for an engine running on E85. As for the addition of digital instrumentation, it allows the city car not to lose contact with the competition (Peugeot 208, Renault Clio or Volkswagen Polo…), which already offers this type of equipment. If these developments make it possible to modernize the Fiesta, they will undoubtedly not change the situation on the French market, dominated by tricolor models.
