Designed and developed in Strasbourg by Dr Arnault Pfersdorff, pediatrician, pediatre-online.fr is the 1st tele-advice platform specializing in pediatrics and intended for families concerning the health of newborns, infants, children and adolescents up to 18 years old.

Accessible from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
This new service is developed to provide expert medical advice, diagnostic guidance in pediatrics, outside of standard consultation hours. medical offices. But it is not a substitute for physical consultations or emergency services. Moreover, for the moment, the service is only accessible during the usual closing hours of pediatric practices: from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The teleconsult costs 3 euros per minute per telephone (rate calculated per second elapsed) or 15 euros per chat per computer, with no time limit, with the possibility of attaching a short video to guide the doctor in his advice.
82% of emergency hospital visits are unnecessary
Dr Arnault Pfersdorff hopes that this platform will de-clutter the emergency services : “An estimated 82% of children are taken to hospital emergency rooms for unnecessary consultations” he emphasizes. But it will also help parents who live in geographic areas without pediatricians or parents on vacation abroad, since the platform is accessible from all over the world by internet or smartphone.
In the event of a serious pathology or requiring a consultation, the specialist will refer the child to an emergency service or a doctor. In this case, no payment will be due.
The service offered is supervised by the National Council of the Order of Physicians and the CNIL. Along with the incentive support of the National Council of the Order of Physicians, the project was presented to the learned societies SFP (French Society of Pediatrics) and AFPA (French Association of Outpatient Pediatrics).
