June 10, 2011 – In June, “Everyone at the table” (TLMAT) concludes its vast survey on the eating behaviors of Quebec families, asking you to share the tips you have developed to ensure that your children eat well and make the family meal more enjoyable. This project, led by nutritionists from Extenso, focuses on the eating behaviors of children aged 0 to 12 and their families.
Anyone who is willing to share their experiences and opinions are welcome to do so on the TLMAT website. The answers will be used for a large research project led by nutritionists from Extenso, from the University of Montreal.

May poll results
In May, TLMAT nutritionists asked you about the obstacles encountered when preparing balanced meals for your family. “In these times of work-family reconciliation, it is not surprising to note that the time and the lack of ideas for the preparation of the meals are the main obstacles mentioned by the respondents”, affirms Nathalie Jobin, nutritionist and in charge of TLMAT project. Lack of ideas seems to be a characteristic applicable to all meals (lunch and supper), while in the evening, not only are respondents uninspired for supper, but the lack of time is added to this obstacle. This accumulation of obstacles to the evening meal makes dinner a real headache for young families. In fact, for 66% of respondents, dinner is the meal causing them the most worry.
