This Sunday, guest of the Grand Jury on RTL-Le Figaro-LCI, the general delegate of La République en Marche, Stanislas Guerini proposed the creation of a “deconfinement check” worth 400 euros for the most precarious households. . This proposal would be under discussion with the executive.
More left in Macronie? This is the plea made by Stanislas Guerini, general delegate of La République en Marche, this Sunday at the microphone of the program “le Grand-Jury” of RTL-Le Figaro-LCI. The number 1 of the movement defended several proposals for ending the crisis, including new social aid. A way to respond to the uneasiness of the majority? After two waves of departures of deputies in a few weeks which caused the parliamentary group to lose its absolute majority in the National Assembly, the outcry of part of the majority against alliances in municipal elections with the right, the left leg of the five-year term still seems too weak in the eyes of some.
For the 10% most precarious households
The parton of the movement notably proposed the creation of a “deconfinement check“to help the most vulnerable. “During this crisis, a certain number of households suffered in particular, because they could no longer work, no longer work overtime, no longer take their children to the canteen, benefit from social tariffs, and found themselves in great difficulty” he explained during the show. For “leave no one by the wayside“Stanislas Guerini believes that a check for 400 euros should be distributed to the 10% of the most precarious households:”that’s roughly a third of what economists estimate has cost those households during the lockdown period.“An aid check which would cost public finances around 3 billion euros according to the general delegate of La République en Marche. He ensures that this measure”whose outlines will have to be drawn“is currently being discussed with the government.
Reconstruction plan
More broadly, Stanislas Guerini proposes to get out of this economic crisis, caused by the containment against Covid-19, by “stimulating supply and demand“. Beyond the deconfinement check alone, the general delegate of La République en Marche proposes to extend the RSA to those under 25, to create a hiring bonus for young people, the generalization of profit-sharing in companies, the creation of a “booklet R” – like ‘reconstruction’ – to encourage the French to redirect their savings to small businesses or to create ‘helped jobs’ temporarily when they have been eliminated by the government.
To finance these new expenditures, the MP dismisses the idea of increasing taxes. According to him, “the widening of the public deficit is a risk to run“, reports Le Figaro.
