Ingredients
- 1 onion
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 4 carrots
- 200 g of dried figs (+ 1 fresh fig in season)
- 30 cl of sweet white wine
- 1 sachet of Couscous Scented with sweet spices (250 g)
- 4 slices of gingerbread
- 1 knob of butter
- 150 g of foie gras
- Salt and pepper
Preperation
- In a frying pan, brown the chopped onion in olive oil.
- Add the carrots cut into small cubes as well as the figs cut into cubes.
- Once everything is golden brown, add 30cl of the mellow white wine.
- Leave to cook for 10 to 15 minutes over low heat.
- Once cooked, add off the heat, the bag of Couscous Scented with sweet spices then 30 cl of boiling water and let swell for 5 min.
- Meanwhile, cut the slices of gingerbread into cubes and brown them in a pan with a little butter.
- Put the sweet spice mixture back on the heat.
- Just before serving, sprinkle over the pan, the diced foie gras and gingerbread.
- Tips:
- You can replace the figs with canned lychees or prunes.
