Conducted among 34,670 women aged 49 to 83 over a period of ten years, the study demonstrates the benefits of coffee on patients without a history of cardiovascular disease. Of the 1,680 identified strokes, most cases consumed less than one cup per day.
The minimum consumption of one cup per day is sufficient to reduce the risk of stroke, cerebral infarction and subarachnoid hemorrhage. However, greater absorption would not reduce these risks.
