Is this the shortest existence of a streaming service ever? The plug was quickly pulled from CNN+.
Streaming service come and.. yes, especially come actually. HBO Max, Netflix, Apple TV+, Disney+ and you name them all. Each and every one of them is successful. Then there are also all kinds of streaming services from smaller parties. They have a much harder time with it.
For example, the American news channel CNN has decided to take CNN+ off the air. The streaming service was released less than a month ago. A saturation of the market is probably the cause of the failure. There are so many streaming services that the news channel’s new service came on top of the pile.
CNN is under Warner Bros. Discovery. The parent company has multiple streaming services, including Discovery+ and HBO Max. The Americans also realize that the range of services is very large. That is why it was decided to turn the strategy 180 degrees.
The latest streaming service CNN+ is going on its ass. In addition, various services must be merged into one large service. HBO Max and Discovery+ will now go through one door together. CNN+’s series and programs will partly be merged with the news channel itself and the website. The curtain will fall for the service at the end of April. (through Washington Post†
