Citroën reorients the C4 range. The 155 hp petrol engine is no longer on the agenda, while the electric version is now available in the entry-level Live finish. As for the basic equipment, it is enriched. The ticket for the compact is set at €22,900.
The 3and generation of the Citroën C4 has broken the codes. Finished the Citroën-style Golf, make way for an atypical vehicle, mixture of sedan and SUV, which even has the luxury of giving a nod to its ancestor the Citroën GS. A proposal in total coherence with its big sister the C5 X and the recently restyled C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross SUVs.
Less gasoline, more electric
The C4 range begins with the 3-cylinder PureTech 100 hp.
The Citroën C4 range still consists of an offer based on petrol and diesel engines. But the brand is refocusing the palette on powers of 100 and 130 hp. Exit therefore the high-end PureTech 155 hp, nevertheless the significant price increase (+ €1,300) compensates for the difference of €1,250 that there was until then, with identical finish between a PureTech 130 EAT8 version and the PureTech 155 EAT8. The customer does not come out a winner. Instead, the manufacturer emphasizes the 100% electric version (with 136 hp), which is now available from the entry-level Live finish, which lowers the call price from €500 to €35,300. But for the other finishes, the inflation is €1,000.
Citroën C4 price (May 2022)
In terms of prices, the C4 offer starts from €22,900 in petrol and €25,200 in diesel, when the electric version, ë-C4 starts from €35,300, excluding the €6,000 bonus. The entry level is therefore €1,800 more expensive than before!

Visible upgrades to equipment
The cascade of finishes still includes five offers (Live, Feel, Feel Pack, Shine and Shine Pack). The entry-level now benefits from a 10-inch touch screen instead of the 5-inch monochrome display and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto protocols, which partly justifies the price increase.
