The Samsung Galaxy smartphone replaces your old-fashioned car key. Saves space in your pocket!
Wallet, all those cards, keys. Your smartphone is taking over more and more things, so you can leave more things at home. So is the car key. Samsung thus supports the ultra wideband (UWB) and NFC application of the Galaxy smartphone to replace the car key. The next step is that the car has this option, of course. In this case, the new Genesis GV60 is the first car to have this capability.
The first smartphones from Samsung that can get started with this technology are the Galaxy S21 Plus, S21 Ultra, Note 20 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 2 and Galazy Z Fold 3. It is not only possible to unlock the car, but also to to start it. The smartphone completely replaces the traditional car key.
