This project, developed jointly with the General Council of Val d’Oise (95), was selected by the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Health as part of the MAIA (House for the Autonomy and Integration of Alzheimer’s patients) experiments. ) of the Alzheimer Plan 2008 – 2012. It is based on an experience already carried out in the Netherlands. It consists of integrating as closely as possible the patients and their relatives (families, caregivers, etc.) and all the professionals called upon to intervene (doctors, nurses, psychiatrists and psychologists but also hospitals, clinics, retirement homes, social workers and local communities).
This integration should allow:
Better patient monitoring at all stages of this degenerative disease
Better coordination of stakeholders for greater efficiency
An improvement in the living conditions of patients
Greater support from family, caregivers and loved ones
