The Alfa Romeo Tonale opens the ball with a launch edition called Edizione Speciale. It costs €39,000 with a 130 hp 1.5 petrol engine combined with a 48V light hybridization. Discovery of the rival of the Audi Q3, BMW X2 and Mercedes GLA.
Like any self-respecting premium brand, Alfa Romeo begins marketing its Tonale SUV with an exclusive launch edition. Baptized Edizione Speciale, it leaves the choice between two gasoline engines with light hybridization 48V of 130 and 160 hp. Under the hood, the Alfa Romeo Tonale Edizione Speciale conceals a 1.5 turbo four-cylinder petrol engine associated with an electric machine delivering 20 hp and 55 Nm. The assembly is connected to the front wheels by means of a robotized gearbox strong 7-speed TCT dual-clutch.

Edizione Speciale: the holy grail of Tonale?
The Edizione Speciale takes up the equipment of the most upscale Veloce finish and sits on 20-inch rims revealing red-lacquered four-piston Brembo brake calipers. Small distinction, they are painted silver for the 130 hp version and will be diamond-cut on the 160 hp version. In detail, the Tonale Edizione Speciale sports Matrix Full LED front lights, private rear windows – understand dark-tinted –, brushed aluminum gearshift paddles on either side of the leather sports steering wheel, the entry and keyless start, hands-free electric tailgate, infotainment system with 10.25-inch TFT touchscreen, in addition to 12.3-inch digital instrumentation, voice control and Apple CarPlay / Android Auto navigation wireless, induction charger, adaptive cruise control, 360° reversing camera and traffic sign recognition.

From €39,000, in Alfa red!
The Alfa Romeo Tonale offers a 5-year warranty with unlimited mileage. The trefoil mark indicates a price of 39 000 € for a 130 hp Tonale Edizione Speciale hybrid with Alfa red paint. The color chart also leaves the possibility of a Green Montreal, a Blue Misano and a Gray Vesuvio, with supplement. For comparison, the Audi Q3 starts at €35,830 in the 150 hp petrol version, but at this price the German competitor comes with a manual gearbox, unavailable on the Tonale.
Note that for the moment the price of the 160 hp variant of the Tonale Edizione Speciale is not yet known, orders for this version will be open in May 2022. Officially, the speech of Alfa who wishes to conquer the corporate fleets is logically more focused on rents. Namely, after a contribution of €4,990, 36 monthly rents of €399 including tax, as part of a LLD of 30,000 km. Subsequently, the Tonale range, which will be structured around four levels of finishes – Super, Sprint, Ti and Veloce – will offer two other engines, a 130 hp diesel block and a 275 hp plug-in hybrid.
