After the “anti alternative medicine” forum, homeopaths counter-attack

There was first the gallery signed by 124 health professionals, qualifying alternative medicine, and particularly homeopathy, like “medicine fakes”. Next, the development of the Order of Physicians recalled that “any doctor must practice medicine in accordance with the data acquired from science, both in the development of the diagnosis and in the proposal of a treatment”, homeopathy not being able to constitute then only an “adjuvant or complementary prescription “. Today, it is the turn of the National Union of French Homeopathic Doctors (SNMHF) to counter-attack by filing a complaint with the Order of Physicians for “non-confraternity” and “violation of several articles of the code of ethics” .

60 physicians affected by the complaint

At least 60 of the doctors who participated in the forum were targeted by these complaints. Under the hashtag #support124, they confirmed on Twitter that they had received the notification of the actions of the organization of homeopathic doctors. The latter denounce the virulent remarks of the forum and would like the Order of Physicians to be able to judge whether terms such as “charlatans”, “false therapy”, “esoteric discipline” or even “fanciful promises”, deserve a sanction and, if Yes which one. In total, around 5,000 physicians claim the homeopathic specialty, which is not, however, recognized by the Order of Physicians. In May, Agnès Buzyn, Minister of Health, had also declared that she wanted condition the reimbursement of this practice by evaluating its effectiveness.
