Francesca, a Romanian life coach and psychologist based in the United States, presents on her TikTok account an analysis of what this choice says about our personality. Having studied at the City University of London according to the DailyMail, she became known on TikTok thanks to her counseling in psychology. In two videoswhich have a total of nearly 850,000 views, it lists the types of personalities that go with the different types of profile photos that are most often found on social networks.
Social networks: sexy photos can mean an inferiority complex
According to her, “Very sexy photos can mean the person has an inferiority complex and feels like they need to be more expressive or show more, in order to make up for not feeling good enough .”
And for those who prefer to appear as a couple? “Couple photos can show that the person sees their partner as part of their identity”, explains Francesca. She adds that “people who have an attachment mixed with anxiety tend to post more couple photos than those who have a more distanced attachment”.

Also according to the psychologist with 1.2 million subscribers, more extroverted people would tend to choose more colorful photos where they pose with several of their friends, while constantly changing their profile picture would be the symbol of a more weak and a stronger feeling of insecurity.
The type of pose and the angle of the photo are also revealing

On the contrary, the photos taken from below where one looks upwards is a sign of inferiority and submission, which can be, according to the psychologist, “a sexual strategy to find a partner” in women.
