In addition to the Taycan and the future Macan in 2023, Porsche will add two new electric models to its range according to statements by Herbert Diess, CEO of the Volkswagen group. In this case, it is the replacement for the Panamera and a new high-end SUV.
After the Porsche Taycan, the Stuttgart brand will continue the electrification of its range with the launch of the electric Macan in 2023 which will be produced at the Leipzig plant. But, according to the statements of Dieter Diess, the boss of the Volkswagen group, the manufacturer is already preparing the other stages of the rocket. Two other 100% electric vehicles will be put into orbit as part of the Artemis project which also concerns Audi and Bentley.
Porsche Artemis, a new SUV
Known internally under the code K1, the first project takes the form of a large SUV around 5 m which will complement the Cayenne at the top of the SUV range. It will be developed on the new EPI platform and go into production in 2026 in Leipzig. The German plant will produce the second model mentioned in 2024-2025, which will replace the Panamera.
