Call of Duty in the dust after a fuss over Koran in Vanguard

Activision has apologized. In Call of Duty Vanguard, pages of the Quran were found to be lying on the floor.

Quran in Vanguard: What’s going on?

Within Zombies in Call of Duty Vanguard, passages of the Quran were spotted on the ground in a map. This is unacceptable to the Muslim community. Posts of offended people could soon be found on social media. How this could have happened is unknown, but Activision has taken action.

The American company has apologized. The book has been removed from the game in its entirety through an update. You will therefore no longer find the pages in Call of Duty Vanguard. It’s not as hard-hitting as in Modern Warfare 2. Then the Favela map was removed in its entirety. Maybe a good thing, considering that the Zombie mode in Vanguard is very thin..

In its apology, Activision states that Call of Duty is a game for everyone. That the Quran was depicted in this way in Vanguard should never have appeared in the game, the American company said in its response.
