A Renault Supercinq Cabriolet produced by EBS is offered for sale. Dating from 1990, it has traveled less than 113,000 km and is one of the 1,400 units produced. If you are interested, plan on € 17,950.
Do you know the Renault Supercinq Cabriolet? In 1985, the Belgian EBS body, founded two years earlier by the Dutchman Ernst Berg, presented a hoop-less convertible prototype based on the diamond-shaped city car launched in 1984. An agreement was reached with the manufacturer so that, from 1986 , the latter supplies EBS with Supercinq crates to be converted into convertibles as part of series production. But the project was aborted soon after, due to changes in Renault management. Never mind, EBS independently produced 1,400 Supercinq Cabriolet between the end of the 1980s and the beginning of the 1990s. One of them is currently offered for sale in the Netherlands.

A discoverable with a neat finish
The convertible offered by E&R Classics dates from 1990. It was made from a Supercinq GTS, a mid-range model which then offered a power of 68 hp. The car is fitted with a dark soft top, the color of which matches the bluish gray of the body.
We find its color on the storm doors. The car is also equipped with five-spoke alloy rims and an exhaust cannula with a larger diameter than the original silencer. This Supercinq also received an Alpine steering wheel.
A Supercinq for almost € 18,000
This Supercinq EBS displays 112,900 km on the odometer. His maintenance was monitored and documented according to the ad, and the convertible has survived the years particularly well if we can trust the photos. The rarity of the model and the condition of this copy are synonymous with a high price for a Supercinq since the car is priced at € 17,950.
