The 2CV Méhari Club Cassis will present a new Méhari on September 24 in Marseille. The electric Eden that the club offers is revised in an “underground” way with the help of BAAK, a company specializing in “backdating” which “ages” modern vehicles.
We already knew about the retrofit, which consists of converting an old thermal car into a 100% electric model. But there are also other trends like the ” backdating “, which gives an old look to modern vehicles. The Lyon-based company BAAK, specialist in the genre with customizations of motorcycles and cars “ old “, offered its help to the Méhari Club de Cassis to design an unprecedented Eden.
A Mehari with an “underground” look
Eden, a Mehari reinvented by the 2CV Mehari Club Cassis, is always 100% electric. But this time, she abandons the shimmering colors of the presentation photos for a much darker theme and ” underground “. The whole body is changed to matte black, from the side panels to the bumpers and wheels, while the canvas is also black. At the front, the headlights are LED for a hint of modernity. On board, brown aged leather seats add a bit of color and character. We find an industrial universe. The brown is repeated on the small straps which hold the hood in place and on which the spare wheel is placed.
Exhibited on September 24 in Marseille
This amazing looking Mehari will be exhibited at MX Marseille, at the Docks Village of Marseille, on September 24th. This evening will also allow the unveiling of a new complete line of accessories for the thermal or electric Eden. Finally, a 4D attraction in the form of a real Méhari mounted on jacks will also be present in this place of experience, tasting and exhibitions around anise, of which the Cassidan club has been a partner since the beginning of July.
