84% of 18-24 year olds have already had back pain
A survey highlighted by our colleagues from 20 minutes reveals that almost all French people have already suffered from back problems. And this phenomenon is no longer confined to patients of advanced age, young people are also widely affected: 84% of 18-24 year olds explain having already had back pain, 25% would also have pain regularly. But what should be done to avoid these back pain?

Get active to prevent back pain

According to this Opinionway poll, our poor postures are responsible for 46% of our back pain. Stress (13%) and diet (7%) would also have their share of responsibility.
To effectively fight back pain, it is also recommended to take up sports. The most suitable physical activity to prevent back pain is swimming and walking. This activity should be preceded by a gradual and well-controlled warm-up to respect your bones and muscles. Sport also helps to relieve stress and relax and avoid any risk of obesity, which is also a factor in back pain.
