Getting pregnant again less than 6 months after a miscarriage would decrease the risk by 34% of not carrying the new one to term. pregnancy, according to the conclusions of a study published in the medical journal Human Reproduction.
Findings that contradict the recommendations of the World Health Organization which call on women who have suffered a miscarriage to wait at least 6 months before becoming pregnant again.

Get pregnant again within six months of a miscarriage
Researchers from the University of Malta and the University of Aberdeen in the UK performed meta-analysis of 13 studies involving a total of data from about one million women, from 11 different countries to analyze the correct attitude to have after a miscarriage. They compared the risk of losing a baby again for women who suffered a miscarriage versus how long to wait for the next pregnancy.
The scientists observed in the participants who made this attempt less than 6 months later, an 18% reduction in the risk of another miscarriage, and a 21% reduction in the risk of preterm delivery and the absence of difference in stillbirth.
For the authors of the study, these figures should be taken into account for new health recommendations on the risks of miscarriage.
This study confirms the recommendations of the National Congress of Gynecologists 2014 who called on women to try again soon enough to conceive a child.
