Barely marketed, the Mercedes EQS will soon receive the reinforcement of a sporty AMG variant. Rather discreet stylistically speaking according to the first information, it is already imagined virtually before its official presentation at the Munich show.
Who said an electric limousine couldn’t be sporty? Surely not Mercedes-AMG, which passes through its mill the recently released EQS. The model began its career with two versions from us, already offering 333 and 524 hp. But this is obviously not enough for the sports division of the Star, which is preparing a more sporty EQS. This one has already been flushed out by spy photographers, enough to allow one to imagine it …

The styling of the EQS AMG already imagined
Very aerodynamic, the classic Mercedes EQS does not seem to receive imposing appendages like the Class A 45 S and its well-sized spoiler. The EQS reviewed by AMG should be satisfied with a thin spoiler on the trunk and a diffuser on the rear bumper. In the front, the Panamericana vertical louvered grille at the front is fitted to the closed panel which serves as the grille for the electric model. A set of specific rims, here painted black, and carbon ceramic brakes complete the equipment. A discreet sportiness therefore, but that connoisseurs will notice all the same.
Several versions are being studied as we have learned from the name registrations made by the brand: EQS 43, EQS 53 and EQS 63. Under the hood, the two electric units of version 580+ would be pushed up to 680 hp for the most powerful variant. But not enough to taint the autonomy, which would remain very good with nearly 600 km according to the first estimates.
Presented in Munich?
The Mercedes-AMG EQS seems ready, with the development prototypes having already completed their last laps on the Nürburgring. The sports electric will be officially revealed at the Munich show, open from September 7 to 12. It would thus be alongside the AMG One and the restyled version of the AMG GT Coupé 4-door.
